You can see the art work GREAT DIALOGUE by Karel Nepras in the Museum of Modern Art in Prague. The work dating from 1967, is a wonderful sculpture.
In my humble opinion it relates to what BETWEEN REALITIES is trying to achieve here in Prague: a great dialogue.
An open exchange of information, thoughts, images, experiences, ideas and concepts make a great dialogue, although in a more global context it becomes increasingly complex when we are confronted with problems beyond our understanding like yesterday’s news of the bloody terrorist attacks in France, Tunesia and Kuwait. Or everyday reality: the exodus of refugees from Africa entering Europe.
We are really in between realities. That’s why I would like to share with you a project by somebody I love, an import project – another form of staging an event in public space maybe – perhaps another form of scenography even. It concerns the travelogue of a Syrian refugee who started whatsapp-ing his walk through Europe in photos, text and videos: http://ideasodyssey.blogspot.nl/ and the facebook group that belongs to this project: http://ideasodyssey.blogspot.nl/search?updated-max=2015-06-22T13:32:00-07:00&max-results=7
During my stay in Prague, I have been following this group; for me it has become a reality in the reality I experienced here.
I saw wonderful things in Prague and hope to have more great dialogues with participants and visitors of PQ or people who read this.
