A story about Prague souvenirs
built from the boxes in which they were transported
to Prague – because most souvenirs and what
they represent are actually Russian.

“It makes it look different. Is it art or trash?”

“I live across the street.
Shops put out too much stuff.
I hope they don’t come today.
It’s so special.
Even they will be amazed.
Although they don’t think much of things like this.”

Confused passersby.
It’s a very attractive object.
But it’s been built on a garbage collection point.
So is it trash, or not?

This raises the question of value.
Trash has suddenly been turned into something else.
Perception of a town garbage site shifts.
From a place you ignore to a scene that holds your gaze.
It’s rather frustrating for the neighbours because all the trash has been piled up
to form something they find special and want to preserve.
Some are even quite sad that the garbage men will come in a bit and take it away.
